Comments:
This story continues in Arion, Lord of Atlantis #27.
Synopsis:
Arion returns to Atlantis after weeks spent in Darkworld. He discovers the city in turmoil as the king has not been seen since Arion's departure. Chian has left the city, since she believes Arion to be dead. Wyynde has become catatonic after the loss of his people, the transformation of his wife, and the mind control perpetrated by Garn. Mara blames Arion for Wyynde's condition.
Devoid of friends, Arion seeks out the king. Wing intercepts him and denies him an audience. Then a riot breaks out in the city. A group of holy women have used the city's discord to awaken the demon Kr'rth. Arion helps the guardsmen put down the riot, then visits the abbey just as Kr'rth returns. Arion is overpowered and becomes a prisoner of the Abbess.
