Comments:
This story is continued in part from Arion Lord of Atlantis #24.
Synopsis:
Following his defeat of Garn Daanuth, Arion remains trapped in Darkworld. His limited magic was expended in the battle against his brother and is not enough to take him back to Atlantis. Guided by his father, Arion begins searching for the Nexus, a point from which he can return home. Along his journey he meets two travelers who are pursued by riders seeking to kill them. Arion convinces them to stand and fight.
After succesfully defeating the Riders, Arion is transported to the Nexus which is guarded by the Keeper. The old man explains that he must fight Arion for the right to enter the Nexus for only one may enter. The loser will stay behind to guard the portal until the next traveler comes along. Arion defends himself, but he refuses to kill the old man. Instead he allows himself to be stabbed. As a result of his sacrifice, Arion and the Keeper are permitted to enter the portal.
Arion is transported back to Earth. He begins his journey back to Atlantis with trepidation about what awaits him there.
