Arion finds a scroll that he believes will help him restore his magical abilities. He goes outside the city where he meets a young boy named Bzil who does not believe in magic. Using the scroll, Arion is able to summon the Weaver, a demi-god. The Weaver is a master of deceit and nearly lures Arion to his doom. Bzil throws a stone at the demi-god and frees Arion from captivity. When the Weaver departs, Arion has gained a limited amount of magic.
