Synopsis:
Chian is nearly hit by an arrow while riding through a forest. The arrow strikes a hunter who attacks Chian. She kills him, then looks for the person who shot the arrow. It is a young girl named Lyla who has run away from her father who seeks to send his daughter away as a hostage.

Lyla's story reminds Chian of her own childhood in which she was taken away from her father by a soldier. She has hated her father ever since then, and is bitter over his submission. Chian allows the girl to ride with her until they are attacked by a group of hunters led by the girl's father.
