Part 2: "The Vengeance of Superman and Batman"
Batman appears wearing his new costume with the yellow bat-symbol in this story. This issue pre-dates the first story of Detective Comics #327, and is the first appearance of the new costume.
Synopsis:
Jimmy Olsen and Robin fake their own deaths when they learn that crooks intend to make them hostages. By dropping out of sight, Jimmy and Robin are able to spoil the crook's plan. They tip off Superman and Batman to the crooks, who have devices which make them invisible.
After the crooks are apprehended, Jimmy and Robin reveal that they are still alive. Superman had already deduced the truth when he saw Jimmy's fingerprints on the outside of his coffin. Following the adventure, Jimmy and Robin start a trophy collection for Batman and Superman's combined adventures.
