Synopsis:
At the Coast City Fairgrounds, a paper-mache figure of Green Lantern has come to life and is tearing up the fair. The real Green Lantern learns about the trouble while attending a Justice League meeting. He confronts his double while the other members of the League observe the action. Green Lantern is able to defeat his doppleganger and learns it was animated by the same protonic force he encountered earlier inside the planet Green Lantern.
Later the force inhabits a gold ribbon with which it constructs a giant yellow ring. It encaged GL in a yellow bubble and begins crushing him. GL is powerless against the yellow color so he bores a hole into the molten core of the Earth. This increases the temperature enough to turn the ring pink. No longer yellow in color, it is affected by GL’s ring, and the force is imprisoned. After defeating his foe, GL enjoys the fair with Carol Ferris.
