Synopsis:
The Emerald Empress kills the Inquisitor after his failure to learn the secret of immortality from three captured Legionnaires. The Legion is conducting a search for the Empress, who finally shows herself by attacking the Pan-African University on Earth. Invisible Kid, who was visiting the area, contacts his teammates for reinforcements. A battle rages across Africa, into Europe, and finally Metropolis. Polar Boy is captured by the Empress who demands to be left alone. If the Legion does not comply she threatens to kill Polar Boy and detonate a fusion reactor.
