Comments:
This story was originally intended for publication in New Teen Titans #40, but was delayed for several months.

The Cuckoo's escape shown at the beginning of the story was referenced in Blue Beetle #21.

Sir Cyril, the post-Crisis version of Squire from the British super-hero team Knight and Squire, is introduced in this story. The pre-Crisis Squire first appeared in the second story of Batman #62.

Synopsis:
The Titans visit a secure government facility for retired agents where they meet Danny's grandfather, Franklin Chase. During the visit, King Faraday arrives and introduces them to Sir Cyril, a British agent. Cyril has brought an agent named Cuckoo to the facility for debriefing after he gathered information on a cabal of corrupt industrialists led by Klaus Cornelius.

To prevent the information from getting out, Cornelius hires Godiva to kill the Cuckoo and steal the information. Godiva and her minions attack the facility. The Titans help in the defense. The team is briefly captured, but Danny and his grandfather stage a rescue. Godiva escapes capture after killing the Cuckoo, but Danny recovers the data tape which contains the secret information.
