Synopsis:
Several Legionnaires make repairs to the Time Institute following the Time Trapper's attack. Brainiac 5 then constructs an upgraded time bubble to travel to the end of time to confront the Trapper. However, the team is unable to navigate the time stream. The Time Trapper instead sends them to Smallville.
Ultra Boy, Mon-El, Cosmic Boy, and Night Girl go into town where they meet Pete Ross. He tells them about a recent Crisis which caused the skies to turn red. The heroes go to the Kent home and are reunited with Jonathan and Martha. Superboy then arrives and freezes the Legionnaires with a statis beam.
Brainiac 5, Sun Boy, Invisible Kid, and Blok have stayed behind with the time bubble. Pete finds them and tells them he heard the other Legionnaires screaming. He suggests that they leave to get the rest of the Legion. As they are entering the time stream, Superboy arrives and attempts to use the statis beam on them. They escape just in time, so Superboy enters the time stream to follow them.
