This story is continued from Legion of Super-Heroes #37 and continues in Action Comics #591.

Synopsis:
Superman helps Lana Lang on her farm in Smallville, when the Legion of Super-Heroes arrive in a time bubble. Superman's heat vision malfunctions which causes him to nearly strike the Legionnaires. They have just come from the Pocket Universe where they were fleeing Superboy. A fight ensues, until Brainiac 5 realizes that Superman is not Superboy.

Brainiac 5 explains the Legion's history to Superman. The Man of Steel is puzzled since he was never Superboy. As soon as the Legionnaires tell him their tale, the Pocket Universe Superboy arrives and uses a statis ray on them.
