Synopsis:
Garn Daanuth and his jackal warriors successfully capture the capital city of Atlantis. Garn imprisons King D'Tilluh and his guards. Arion is locked in the dungeons. After securing the city, Garn visits Arion's cell. He then reveals the truth about Arion's history.

Garn explains that 100,000 years earlier Caculha and Majistra were two of the twelve greatest mages. Garn was the son of Majistra who followed the dark. Arion, then called Ahri'Ahn, was Caculha's son, and they followed the light. When Caculha sensed a threat to the twelve crystals buried beneath the twelve major cities that kept the world in balance, he called a meeting of the mages.

At the meeting, Caculha warned of a pending cataclysm. To prevent it he proposed increases the guard upon the crystals. Only Majistra opposed him. Seeking power for herself, Majistra removed the crystals. Earthquakes shook the world. Caculha tried in vain to stop her. Only by sacrificing his own life was Ahri'Ahn able to shatter Majistra's control of the crystals.

As a result of the sacrifice, balance was restored, Majistra died too. Caculha was exiled to the Darkworld, and Garn's skin was bleached white. To reward his fallen son, Caculha used magic to send Ahri'ahn's energy into the sun.

As centuries went by, Caculha and Garn continued to increase their powers. The other mages also discovered that the battle caused a shift in the Earth's axis which would eventually cause an ice age. To help save Atlantis again, Caculha used his new power to bring about a rebirth of his son, now called Arion. Although the savior of prophecy had no memory of his past lift, Arion began a great mage in Atlantis. Now with the fall of the city, it appears that Garn has finally won.
