Comments:
This story is subtitled "Tales of Kryptonite No. 4" and is continued in part from the first story of Superman #177.

Synopsis:
A chunk of Red Kryptonite in Superman's Fortress is transformed into Gold K by a nuclear reaction. Two Kandorians, Jay-Ree and Joenne don lead suits and try to remove the Gold K before it can affect Superman. Unfortunately, their suits fail, exposing them both to the Kryptonite. They are still able to beam the Gold K into the Phantom Zone, but they are forever powerless.

Jay-Ree and Joenne stow away in Jimmy Olsen's apartment and reveal themselves to him. They keep their existence a secret from Superman and secretly aid him as miniature helpers. Jimmy Olsen builds a doll house for the Kandorian couple in his apartment.

When a hawk carries the Kandorians away, Jimmy summons Superman to save them. Superman then learns of their existence and performs a wedding ceremony, so the couple can be officially married.
