Synopsis:
After Green Lantern has captured several crooks from various crime scenes, a man arrives and uses a strange device to gather radiation left by the power beam from GL’s ring. The man is William Hand, also known as the criminal, Black Hand. He has discovered a way to use the gathered radiation to use against Green Lantern. He uses the energy to bait GL into a trap.
Green Lantern arrives at the location given to him my Hand. Hand uses a device to send GL into another dimension. Halfway through the process Lantern uses his ring to freeze the controls of Hand’s device. Hand manages to avoid capture, and half of Green Lantern’s body is still stuck in the other dimension.
After several battles with GL, Hand strikes at a gala dinner event in which his brother’s are honored guests. Hand is the black sheep in his family and wants the town to honor him instead. Green Lantern arrives with the other half of his body returned. Hand is surprised by this and is defeated.
The return of his missing body was actually a deception which he uses the power ring to fabricate. With Hand in custody, GL is able to return his real body to normal.
