Though not yet an official grouping, the task force sent to Earth-X, is the team known as the Freedom Fighters.
Firebrand begins using her powers to fly beginning in this story.
This story, which takes place on February 23, 1942, is continued from All-Star Squadron #32 and continues in All-Star Squadron #34.
Synopsis:
Uncle Sam leads a team of All-Star Squadron members to Earth-X with the help of the Spectre. The group including: Phantom Lady, Ray, Black Condor, Doll Man, Human Bomb, and Red Bee, prevent a Japanese landing on the shore of Santa Barbara, while the Spectre is prevented by cosmic forces from arriving on Earth-X.
On Earth-2, Liberty Belle, Starman, Johnny Quick, and Firebrand arrive in Santa Barbara to rescue Belle’s friend Rick Cannon from Tsunami a Japanese super-villain. They succeed, and during the battle Tsunami is responsible for killing her own father.
Back on Earth-X, the Freedom Fighters attack the Japanese fleet. Aboard one of the vessels they meet Baron Blitzkrieg and discover Hourman is alive and held captive.
