The Storm Part Two
This story is continued from El Diablo #4 and continues in El Diablo #6.
Synopsis:
Tensions rise between police and the hispanic residents of the barrio when efforts to catch a child murderer turn up no leads. El Diablo enlists the help of Los Diablos to question residents who would not speak to police. One of them gets a lead on a suspect. However, instead of going to the police, the neighbors have already assumed the man's guilt. Fortunately, El Diablo called the police. Lonnie March is arrested.
Angry neighbors gather around the police station. When evidence clears March, he is released. However, the mob goes after him anyway. The police are able to break up the fight, but the situation continues to escalate.
