The Storm Finale
This story is continued from El Diablo #6.
Synopsis:
Rafael Sandoval presents a proposal of compromise to the city council. The motion is tabled. As El Diablo, he then convinces enough townspeople to back the proposal, that the resolution is forced through the council. As a result, Austin Bowie is put back on the murder case, and a civilian investigation is launched into police ethics. Hard-liners on each side are opposed, including Thorn Didrickson who wants to run a smear campaign against Sandoval.
Despite the resolution, radicals on each side take actions that could lead to violence. Fortunately Los Diablos had been watching the radicals. They alert El Diablo who heads off the warring parties before things escalate. With enough citizens reporting information to the police, Austin is able to get a lead which leads him to the killer, and an arrest is made.
