Synopsis:
To entertain a group of handicapped boys, Superman, Flash, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, and Hawkman stage a mock battle against a monster who is actually Batman transformed by the power ring, only to find themselves suffering from the identical handicaps as the youngsters. Superman becomes blind, Flash's two legs merge into one, Green Lantern is afflicted with stuttering, Green Arrow becomes armless, and Hawkman contracts asthma.
Overcoming the Batman-creature, the super-heroes discover that Brain Storm is responsible for their afflictions, and race off to battle him, determined to overcome the handicaps as an object lesson to their hospitalized charges, who watch via a power-ring created TV screen. They defeat more of Brain Storm's stellar-powered creations, and are rewarded with the curing of their ailments, only to be transformed into obedient duplicates of the villain himself. Atom, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and J'onn J'onzz unite with a recovered Batman to battle the six-fold Brain Storm menaces.
As the captive heroes are changed first into six Flashes, then six Green Arrows, and so on, their teammates are able to identify the real heroes by the way they use their powers. Eventually, the heroes are able to identify the real Brain Storm by process of elimination, and defeat him, removing his steallar helmet.
Back at the hospital, Flash draws a parallel between this case and a similar one years before, involving the Justice Society with the handicapped.
