Synopsis:
Ted Kord returns to his office after capturing a gang of jewelry store thieves. In the metallurgy lab Ted, Murray Takamoto, and Curt Calhoun finish perfecting a new promethium alloy. Unknown to them, Steve Dayton is watching the procedure and causes the liquid metal to be poured onto Curt.
The scientist survives and is rushed to the hospital. However, Dayton's agents hijack the ambulance and bring it to New York. Blue Beetle follows and is attacked by Dayton's team the Hybrid. They knock the Beetle's Bug from the sky, then the Teen Titans join the fight.
