Comments:
Superman and Batman wear Luthor and Brainiac disguises in this story. The real villains do not actually appear.
Synopsis:
An alien ship arrives on Earth requesting Superman's help. Since Superman is away, Jimmy Olsen boards the vessel and journeys to an alien planet. When he arrives he is taken prisoner by Brainiac and Luthor. The two villains compete for the honor of exposing Jimmy to the deadly "Fate Z."
While the villains duel, Jimmy escapes from his cell and rescues several other prisoners. When the villains return, he uses a machine to synthesize Kryptonite. Luthor seems affected by the Green K, until Jimmy transforms it into a harmless jewel. He then reveals how he discovered that Superman was masquerading as Luthor to teach Jimmy a lesson about taking risks. Brainiac is revealed as Batman in disguise.
