Synopsis:
Hourman is contacted by race horse owner James Carren. The gang of Nick Bates have threatened Carren in an attempt to gain part ownership of the horse Blue Bell. Carren refuses to hand over control and is beaten by the crooks. Hourman convinces him to take his story to the newspapers.

The gangsters change plans and bet against Blue Bell in the latest race. They then try to fix the race, so that Blue Bell loses. Hourman intervenes and prevents the crooks from fixing the race. Blue Bell wins, and the crooks are turned over to police.
