Comments:
Beginning with this issue, the Justice Society membership includes only members from the All-American line of comics. Starman and Spectre have been removed from the roster. Honorary members Flash and Green Lantern return for the JSA meeting, though they do not participate in solo chapters.

Wildcat and Mr. Terrific participate in this story, though their official membership status in the JSA is questionable. They appear to be guests of the JSA and not full members. It is Mr. Terrific's only Golden Age adventure with the JSA. Wildcat appeared in just one additional JSA Golden Age story in All-Star Comics #27, where he appeared to be a full-fledged member.

As revealed in All-Star Archives Vol. 6, this story was written and drawn after the stories that appeared in All-Star Comics #25, All-Star Comics #26, and All-Star Comics #30.

Synopsis:
The JSA and guests Mr. Terrific and Wildcat educate Dick Amber to the history of German warfare against their neighbors. Dick does not believe that war against Germany is necessary. With the help of the Conscience of Man, the JSA travels back in time as Dick relives the lives of past Germans.

Dick relives the lives of six historical Germans dating as far back as the Teutonic Knights. Each JSA member assists Dick to see that Germans are educated in war and brutality. When Dick returns to the present, he realizes that the war is necessary, and Germany must be taught by the world to co-exist in peace. Dick joins the war effort, and the JSA adopt a formula to organize a permanent peace.
