Comments:
This story is continued from Justice League of America #73.

This is the first meeting between the Earth-1 and Earth-2 Superman.

Black Canary dies, and is replaced by her daughter, as revealed in flashback in Justice League of America #220, immediately following the events of this story.

Synopsis:
At the request of Red Tornado, the members of the Justice League rush to Earth-2 to save the Justice Society from Aquarius. The cosmic villain brainwashes the JSA members and forces them to attack the League. Superman battles Superman, Wonder Woman duels Hawkman, Dr. Mid-Nite challenges Batman, Dr. Fate battles the Flash and the Atom, and Green Arrow faces off against Black Canary.

The Earth-1 Green Lantern easily dispatches his Earth-2 counterpart because Alan Scott's ring has run out of power. He then turns his attention to Aquarius. When GL's ring suprises the villain, Aquarius sends a ball of cosmic energy to destroy his foe. However, his aim is poor and the energy targets Black Canary instead. Her husband Larry Lance jumps in front of the energy ball and is killed.

The JSA are shocked back to their senses and as a result Earth-2 is released from the spirit dimension to which it was banished. After holding a funeral for Larry, the two teams unite to fight Aquarius. The two GLs trick him into entering a negative matter dimension where Aquarius is destroyed. When the JLA makes to return home, Black Canary requests permission to join them permanently on Earth-1.
