Synopsis:
Superman foils an attempt to kidnap a senator who has received threats from the Light. Later, after a successful abduction, Superman captures one of the Light’s henchmen and forces him to reveal the location of the criminal hide-out. When he arrives, he is hypnotized by the Light and sent on a spree of destruction.

Before he is able to start destroying the city, Lois is able to snap the Man of Steel out of the spell. Restored to his senses, Superman smashes the Light’s machines and learns that the Light is his arch-enemy, Lex Luthor. Luthor escapes, but his plot is foiled.
