Comments:
The Lightning Master appears to be killed at the end of this story, but he later returns in All-Star Squadron Annual #3, so his death may have been faked.
The events in All-Star Squadron Annual #3 clearly take place after this story, but they also occur immediately following the events depicted in All-Star Comics #7 which was published several months before this story. Therefore, this story likely relates events which occur chronologically prior to All-Star Comics #7 and have merely being recorded at a later time.
Synopsis:
A new villain, the Lightning Master, blackmails the city of Metropolis, threatening to destroy it with lightning. Lois Lane who has been called to deliver the threat to the public, sees the Lightning Master’s real face, forcing him to try and execute her. Superman arrives in time to rescue her and after several attempts captures the Lightning Master, but not before the villain is electrocuted by his own machines.
