This story was recycled in the second story of Superboy #119.

Synopsis:
Clark's rich uncle Kendall visits Smallville and offers to adopt Clark. When the Kents deny his request, he leaves. On the way home, he is nearly killed in an accident. Superboy saves him, but the shock causes him to believe that the Kents accepted his offer. The doctor warns Clark that Kendall will suffer further damage if he doesn't play along, so Clark agrees to move in with Kendall.

Clark gets his own personal assistant, which hinders his activities as Superboy. He is also unable to socialize with his old friends. Finally, he decides to recreate the incident which caused Kendall's shock. The recreation shocks Kendall back to normal, and Clark is able to return to the Kents.
