Synopsis:
Crooks steal the secret formula for a new metal-eating gas from a Smallville inventor. Superboy acts quickly to prevent the crooks from leaving town. He blocks off all the roads, grounds planes, and even blocks radio signals from getting the formula out of town.

When the crooks realize that Superboy is preventing their escape they use Lana Lang to help them. Lana threatens to publicly reveal Superboy's secret identity if he doesn't let the men leave. Superboy stops them anyway, then comes up with a ruse to disprove Lana's evidence that Clark is Superboy.
