Synopsis:
Lois Lane visits a laboratory in which a chimp named Titano is being experimented on by Thomas Moyers. Lois makes an effort to protect the chimp, then gets thrown out. She attempts to expose the lab by writing a story, but Perry White rejects it. Even the humane society is unable to help.
When Superman stops a bank robbery, he interrupts the power supply to the lab. A power surge causes Titano to absorb energy and grow into a giant menace. Superman battles Titano in the streets of Metropolis. When the giant chimp sees Lois, he finally calms down.
However, Moyers who is in command of a military unit orders the men to fire on the chimp. The weapon causes Titano to shrink back to normal size. The chimp believes Lois betrayed him, until Lois punches Moyers. Titano then dies in Lois's arms.
