Synopsis:
Superman traces the weapons recently used in Metropolis to the terrorist nation of Qurac. Although he dislikes involving himself in the affairs of nations, Superman faces off with the Quraqui military in an attempt to reach President Marlo. When he finally reaches Marlo to force the leader to reveal the locations of the terrorists, Superman is overcome by mental force.
Beneath the streets of Qurac, two members of the Circle probe Superman's mind in an attempt to learn if he is one of their kind. The probe takes the form of Superman's friends, family, and foes. The Circle member Prana questions Superman about his true intentions, wondering why he has chosen not to rule the world.
Prana's exertion eventually leads to his own death. His wife Zahara takes up the cause, but she finds that Superman's mind is too powerful. She is rendered unconscious and taken away by other members of the Circle. Superman does not learn who was responsible for the Mind Games, or there true intentions.
