Synopsis:
Researcher Cave Carson helped to invent a thermo-ray and design a digging machine which could tunnel inside the Earth. However, his research was shut down in the late 1950s after his company turned their attention to outer space research. Carson stole the plans to the digging machine and the thermo-ray. He built the Mighty Mole and put together his own team to explore the world underground. His team consisted of Christie Madison, Bulldozer Smith, and later Johnny Blake.
The team had several adventures inside the Earth, but they eventually ran out of funding. On their last excursion, they encountered a secret underground Nazi lab where the Nazis were experimenting with time travel. Carson's arrival interrupted the plan to bring Hitler into the future. After defeating the Nazis, Carson uses the Nazi gold to continue funding his explorations. The time travel equipment was turned over to Carson's original company in exchange for letting Carson keep the inventions that he stole.
