Synopsis:
Manhunter introduces the Suicide Squad to Anna-Marie Vere, the granddaughter of Argent founder Control. Vere claims that Argent operations are directed from Peterson State College, so Rick Flag leads a strike team there. While the team is away Argent agents infiltrate Belle Reve, take Vere with them, and attempt to kill Amanda Waller. Nemesis has taken Waller's place and survives the attack.
At the college, Flag's team encounters agents of Kobra. The attack was a setup in which the two enemies of Argent were pitted against each other. However, Waller has foreseen the double-cross. Nightshade follows Vere back to Argent's leadership, where they learn that Control has been dead for some time. Vere has been leading what remains of the group ever since.
