Synopsis:
Captain Boomerang has assumed the identity of the Mirror Master to commit crimes in New Orleans. While he is trying to rob two undercover cops, he is captured by Manhunter and taken to Belle Reve. Boomerang thinks Amanda Waller will catch on to double life, but instead of unmasking him, she makes the Mirror Master an offer to join the Suicide Squad on their latest mission.
During the mission, Captain Boomerang is forced to change back and forth between identities to maintain his secret. The mission to stop a group of zombie gangsters begins to go awry when the entire team except for Boomerang are turned into zombies. He is trapped and begins begging for his life.
Then Amanda Waller appears. She was aware of Boomerang's double life the entire time. The mission was only a setup to scare him. Waller threatens to send Boomerang back to prison. He promises to get back in line, but he secretly will be waiting for another chance to get free of Waller's control.
