Synopsis:
After catching two small-time crooks who robbed a local deli, Mark Shaw is contacted by Mr. Falcone who wants to hire him to find Anna-Marie Vere. Shaw is suspicious and declines the job, so Falcone hires a rival bounty hunter named Pikara. Mark suspects the Pikara will likely hurt the girl if he finds her, so he decides to get to her first.
Mark tracks the girl through her dance instructor and arranges a meeting. Manhunter learns that the girl is the granddaughter of Control who formed a splinter group of Task Force X. He decides to bring the girl to Amanda Waller in Louisiana. Pikara strikes first and nearly gets the upper hand. Falcone acts to save Manhunter using a tranquilizer dart. He is actually working for Control and wants Manhunter to take the girl to Waller. He plans to track them and learn the secret location of the Suicide Squad.
