Synopsis:
Outside the headquarters of the All-Star Squadron Fury requests that Flying Fox use his magic to seek out the truth behind her transformation into the Blood Avenger. She is transported spiritually to the home of the Furies where Tisiphone attacks her. Fury finds that her own strength is greater than the one lone member of the Furies. Alecto and Megaera then show themselves and reveal that Fury's power comes from all three Furies. Tisiphone has attempted to use Helena as a means back into the real world in the form of the Blood Avenger, but her sisters opposed her due to their ancient agreement with Athena.

Meanwhile, Flying Fox explores his own past by communicating magically with his grandfather White Snow Owl. The shaman explains the origins of the Quontaukan people including the Flying Fox's ancestor, Arak. He then explains that when the Nazis came to their village, Running Deer, Flying Fox's father was killed. Flying Fox was also killed. White Snow Owl used Quontaukan magic to restore Flying Fox to life, though with no memories of his own death. He then sent him to America to help fight the Nazis.

Having receives some of the answers they sought, Fury and Flying Fox break the spell and return to headquarters.
