She first used it to become a swimsuit model, then she landed a role as a showgirl at a club run by Dom Diablo.

When Diablo tried to use Beatriz to sell the club, she told the Wayne Foundation buyer the truth and was promptly fired. She then went to work for the espionage network of Brazil as an international spy.

Eventually Beatriz was given an assignment to track down Menino Do Diablo, Dom's son who stole experimental pyroplasm. In capturing Menino, Beatriz set off an explosion which gave her super powers. She could now breathe green flames. After failing in her assignment, Beatriz left the espionage business and joined the Global Guardians as the Green Flame.
