Synopsis:
When four bodies are discovered in Dallas with connections to an Italian mob and the arms trade, Checkmate gets involved. Knight Jake Tyler begins investigating M.T. Cavanaugh, a corrupt businessman who ordered the hit. However, Jake is captured while searching Cavanaugh's office.
Jake is taken to an airfield and tied to a landing strip where a plane is about to land. Coincidentally, a Checkmate pawn is at the scene during his own investigation of arms dealing. The pawn creates a distraction that allows Jake to get loose. Cavanaugh and his men are then captured, but the hitman who also encountered Checkmate operatives in Italy escapes.
