Comments:
This story is continued from Doctor Fate #2 and continues in Doctor Fate #4.
Guy Gardner is mistakenly depicted in this story with his original personality. He should be acting "nice" as a result of the head injury sustained in Justice League International #7. This story clearly takes place after that one, since Fate's disagreement with the Lords of Order is mentioned there, which leads into this storyline.
Synopsis:
Doctor Stoner has gained control of Doctor Fate's helmet and amulet. Using them he plunges the world deeper into chaos. The Phantom Stranger enlists the aid of the Justice League in a tactic to delay Stoner as ignite a spark of uncertainty within him.
Elsewhere, Eric Strauss makes his way back to the tower where he is reunited with Linda. Kent Nelson has a startling revelation about their releationship. When Nabu and Strauss leave to confront Stoner, Kent insists that Linda go with them.
