This story is continued in part from Captain Atom #3.
Synopsis:
After absorbing the radiation from a nuclear submarine, Captain Atom is presumed dead. Megala begins having nightmares brought on by guilt. General Eiling meets with his daughter and tells her that he had a man following her to keep her safe from Cameron Scott. He now claims that Scott will no longer be a problem.
Margaret then goes missing when Homer Lockleed, the man who was following her lures her into a trap. Homer is deranged and in love with her.
Captain Atom then returns. The radiation he absorbed caused him to jump forward in time by a few days. He confronts Eiling, then goes to save Margaret. After dealing with Homer, he resumes his normal appearance and is finally reunited with his daughter.
