Synopsis:
Captain Atom appears is interviewed for a TV news magazine show. He provides details to the news reporter regarding his origin. However, the story is an entirely fictitious cover story concocted by the military.
When General Eiling later orders Captain Atom to help rescue a damaged nuclear submarine that is leaking radiation, Atom refuses. He demands that Eiling uphold his bargain and reunite him with his children. Eiling doesn't budge, but Jeff Goslin sets up a meeting with Margaret, Adam's daughter.
Adam meets Margaret at the airport. Before he can explain who he is, Margaret shuts him down. She thinks that he is trying to ask her on a date. Adam is left befuddled. He resolves to leave the past behind and proceeds to help the submarine. However, he recklessly gets too close to the sub and absorbs a heavy dose of radiation.
