This story is continued from Super-Team Family #10 and continues in part in Challengers of the Unknown #82.
Synopsis:
The Challengers split up to find Multi-Man. Prof. traces electrical signals to an underwater dome where June is held captive. While the others head to California where Multi-Man has constructed a force field surrounding a secret nuclear plant. Red penetrates the force field and battles his opponent alone. However, Multi-Man teleports away.
Red regroups with Rocky and Ace. They head to Denver where Multi-Man has fled. Rocky battles the villain alone. At the same time Prof. is completing his rescue of June and manages to destroy a device which is providing Multi-Man with power. Without his powers, Multi-Man is defeated.
The Challengers return to their mountain headquarters where it is revealed that Prof. is dying. Clayburne claims he has found a doctor who can help, Heathcliff Monroe from the town of Perdition.
