Multi-Man escapes from his island imprisonment. He demonstrates a newfound indestructibility by surviving a nuclear blast. He then threatens to destroy a nuclear power plant unless he is appointed dictator. The Challengers attempt to develop an antidote for Multi-Man's powers. They also deduce which components the criminal will need to carry out his threat. They attempt to stop Multi-Man when he tries to steal one of the components. Their antidote fails. Multi-Man escapes and takes June as a hostage.
