Part II:"Armageddon in Albracca"
Synopsis:
With Arak and Angelica trapped in the hell of the demon Baphomet, Malagigi and Johannes return to Albracca to await the rising of the Gog and the Magog, rival armies destined to destroy the world. Malagigi believes there is a way to defeat the armies and consults the scrolls stored in Angelica's tower sanctum.
Meanwhile, Satyricus and Brunello mount a rescue to free Valda from Haakon who has taken her prisoner. They succeed in freeing her from her cell, but Haakon attacks her and knocks her unconscious. Before Haakon can turn his attention upon Satyricus and Brunello, Arak enters through a magic portal. He engages Haakon in combat until the magic of Malagigi stops the fight.
Arak explains that Angelica showed him a vision which revealed his people to still be alive. She then returned him to Albracca. Malagigi has a plan to defeat the Gog and Magog using greek fire which Kallinikos can create.
When morning comes the Gog and Magog arise. Over time the supernatural armies have died. In their place, the bodies of the men have formed into two giants which begin fighting one another, destroying everything around them. Arak and the other pray for rain which is necessary to activate the greek fire. When it comes they use the fire to wound the Magog. The Gog then slays the Magog. After the Gog nearly kills them all, Arak throws the last of the greek fire down the Gog's throat killing it.
When the battle is over, many are dead including Kallinikos. The city is in shambles. Angelica then appears to reclaim it. She attempts to kill Malagigi and Johannes, but Arak intercedes. A shard of her own magic mirror is embedded in Arak's hand, and it blinds the sorceress. Without her sight, Angelica repents her past deeds. Johannes restores her eyesight before taking her, his people, and the city into the mists of time with a spell. Arak and the others make their way out of the city as it vanishes behind them.
