Synopsis:
Morgan Edge worries about the Intergang expose which is being run in the Daily Planet. Mannheim assures him that the problem will be dealt with, and Darkseid sends Turmoil, a robot assassin to kill the reporters. Clark Kent is the first target. Matrix is impersonating Kent and is shot by Turmoil. Matrix survives, much to the chagrin of witness Cat Grant.

The next target is Lois Lane. Gangbuster tries to protect her which leads to a battle on the streets of Metropolis. Maggie Sawyer and the Special Crimes Unit arrive on the scene. They fire a rocket launcher at the robot which only succeeds in bringing a building down on top of everyone.

Elsewhere in deep space, Superman begins his journey back to Earth. Hidden in Luthor's psionics laboratory in Colorado, Brainiac senses his return.
