Synopsis:
Garguax meets with the Doom Patrol under a truce. He reveals that he attempted to join the alien invaders, but they rejected him. Now he offers his help to destroy a base under the arctic sea headed by the Gil'Dishpan. The Doom Patrol arrives in the arctic to find that Aquaman is already leading an attack on the base with the Atlanteans. The Sea Devils are also involved in the fight. The Doom Patrol join in.

During the fight, Celsius ignores the rest of the team. She is still troubled by the return of the Chief. When the Sea Devils discover the aliens are about to activate the fusion drive of their ship, they warn their comrades to retreat. However, Arani refuses to heed the order. She presses the attack. When the drive is activated, she is killed. Bombs planted on the alien ship are then detonated, which disable it. A stalemate is achieved, but one member of the Doom Patrol is dead.
