Synopsis:
Garguax issues an ultimatum demanding the surrender of Earth. The Doom Patrol leave the comatose Negative Woman behind and board a space shuttle to meet the invasion fleet. Once the ship docks with Garguax's flag ship, the team fights their way to the bridge. They retrieve Robotman's brain and capture Garguax. They then board the shuttle to get home only to discover that Garguax has escaped.

Back on Earth, Larry Trainor has regained control of the negative energy with the help of Reactron. He takes a plane into the upper atmosphere, then releases the negative being to destroy two nuclear missiles launched at Earth by Garguax. However, the resulting explosion drives the negative being away from Trainor and back to Valentina who awakens from her coma.
