Synopsis:
Interstellar villain Kanjar Ro escapes from the world that Superman and Green Lantern imprisoned him on. He travels to Rann where he plans to give himself powers triple that of the Justice League.
On Rann, Adam Strange encounter a group of hypnotized barbarians controlled by Ro. Adam and Alanna are temporarily captured, but after escaping Adam travels back to Earth using Ro’s Cosmic Ship. Once back on Earth he catches a Zeta-Beam back to Rann with a plan to defeat Ro.
The Justice League find the Cosmic Ship on Earth and learn that Kanjar Ro has escaped. Half the team travels to Rann, where Adam has used Ro’s Gamma-Gong to paralyze everyone on the planet. The Zeta-Beam wears off returning him to Earth where he gathers the remaining Justice Leaguers and takes the Cosmic Ship back to Rann.
Adam frees the paralyzed League members and Alanna from the effects of the gong, but Kanjar Ro has broken free as well. Ro is able to use his new power to defeat the League, but Adam uses Ro’s own Energi-Rod against the villain. The rod acts on Ro like Kryptonite affects Superman. Kanjar Ro is finally defeated, and the League imprison him once again. Adam however, has been affected by Ro’s energy and can no longer remain on Rann permanently. He must resume his temporary stays and ride the Zeta-Beam to return to Rann.
