Synopsis:
A giant gun appears in the sky over Rann. An alien ship soon arrives and the gun begins to fire. Ranagaran weapons cannot damage the gun, so they summon Adam Strange with an improved Zeta-Beam which can bring their hero to Rann whenever they wish and from anywhere on Earth.
Adam arrives and discovers a means to dismantle the gun. Once the gun is out of commission, the alien ship lands and reveals that they are conquerors in search of the ultimate weapon hidden inside the city of Zared. The gun was sent by a peacekeeper, Sorkhan Vuh, to keep these aliens away from the weapon.
With the gun removed, the aliens retrieve their prize with the intention of conquering Rann. Adam repairs the gun, and when the aliens return to their ship, it reactivates and disables them. After the aliens are defeated, Adam is returned to Earth by the Zeta-Beam. The unique radiations of the gun were the only thing that allowed the improved Zeta-Beam to work, so Alanna must wait for the next Zeta-Beam before her hero returns.
