Synopsis:
Superman meets a boy who lands on Earth in a rocket. The boy is Jimmy Kirk. His father sent him into space years ago because he thought the world was about to be destroyed. Superboy prevented that disaster, but Jimmy was never found.
Jimmy has now returned to Earth and has received super-powers as a result of his journey. His father’s dying wish is for Superman to become Jimmy’s father, so the Man of Steel takes Jimmy as his son. Together they become a super-powered team.
Superman’s powers begin disappearing one-by-one. He traces the cause to a poison carried on Jimmy’s rocket. Eventually all his powers disappear. Jimmy bravely sacrifices his own powers to restore those of his second father. With Superman back to normal, Jimmy is sent to live elsewhere.
