Lana Lang leaves Metropolis to work as a European correspondent in this story.
Synopsis:
Lois Lane is lured into a trap by Lorraine Denison, an ex-college professor. Lana Lang was Denison's student in college. Denison blames Lois for coming between Lana and Superman, so she uses a laser to destroy the part of the brain which allows Lois to experience Lois. Though, Denison is captured by police moments after using the device, she had enough time complete her goal.
Lois returns to work, but she finds that she no longer appreciates Superman. Lana visits Denison in prison and begs her to reverse the change to Lois. Superman helps. Eventually, Denison explains that they device using hypnosis to block emotions. There was no physical change. Superman then stages events to help Lois remove the hypnotic block and return her to normal.
Lana decides that it is time to move on with her life, so she accepts a position in Europe.
