Luthor then decides to frame Clark by reprogramming a Superman robot. He convinces Clark, Jr. that his father murdered Lois. Luthor then sets up Clark, Jr. to kill his father. However, the boy discovers the robot and learns the truth. When he restores the robot's original programming, it kills Luthor. Clark, Jr. then rescues his father, and together they mourn Lois Lane.
