Synopsis:
Krypto contacts Superboy and convinces him to release a dog named Spot from the Phantom Zone. Superboy wonders where the dog came from, so he overtakes light rays to look into Krypton's past. He witnesses Jor-El construct Spot following Krypto's accidentally exile in space. The robot dog briefly replaces Krypto as Kal-El's pet. When criminals attempted to exile Jor-El to the Phantom Zone, Spot acted to stop them, but he himself has beamed into the Zone.
On Earth, Krypto plays with his new friend. When a Kryptonite meteor threatens Krypto, Spot smashes it. Being a robot, Spot is immune to Kryptonite. However, the impact of the collision destroys Spot.
